Emotional Regulation – self reflection activity



With busy lives, it’s easy to get emotionally and physically drained.  Do you take time to care for your own emotional wellbeing?  What are your favorite self-care routines or strategies that help you to model calm and ‘ride the wave’ of your child’s outbursts or challenging behaviours.  We know how easy it is to be reactive in the moment and lash out, punish or shame.  Sometimes it happens before we even realize it!  It takes self reflection and practice to keep calm.  Our littles can be very triggering and it’s our job to be their ‘thinking brain’ so we can coach and guide them to build their own healthy self regulation skills.
